INVITATION
to
Families, schools/Saturday schools and after school/homework/sports clubs/activity groups working with young Africans in Africa and across the African Diaspora
Age: 7-10 years, 11-13 years, 14-16 years
Our purpose: We encourage and support Children and Young People of African Descent
across Africa and the African Diaspora in their educational development
Why: As members of the extended African family across the African diaspora,
we believe it is important for us to show our children that we care about them and
are willing to encourage and support their efforts. By participating in this contest, young Africans will:
Practice research skills
Gain public acknowledgement
Improve communication skills
Boost self-esteem and confidence
Experience a sense of accomplishment
Maintain focus on excellence in education
Gain public speaking experience (winners)
Receive constructive feedback from Judges
Practice self-expression and critical thinking
Be recognized and celebrated within the community
Be knowledgeable about and share understanding of important global issues.
